बॉलीवुड अभिनेता सैफ अली खान को चाकू मारने की घटना के बाद लीलावती अस्पताल से छुट्टी मिलने के बाद शिवसेना नेता और पूर्व सांसद संजय निरुपम ने सैफ के शीघ्र स्वस्थ होने पर चिंता जताई है। चाकू मारने की घटना में सैफ अली खान गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए थे। समाचार एजेंसी एएनआई से बात करते हुए संजय निरुपम ने कहा कि मुंबई के नागरिकों और मेरे पास कुछ मासूम सवाल थे, जिन्हें मैंने उठाया है। क्या चिकित्सा क्षेत्र इतना आगे बढ़ गया है कि सैफ अली खान (हमले के बाद) उछलते-कूदते और नाचते हुए अपने घर आते हैं।

संजय निरुपम ने कहा कि खान के परिवार को खुलासा करना चाहिए कि ”हमला कितना घातक था और वह कितनी बुरी तरह घायल हुए थे।” उन्होंने कहा कि इस घटना ने मुंबई में असुरक्षितता का माहौल पैदा कर दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह खुलासा होना चाहिए कि हमला कितना घातक था और वह कितनी बुरी तरह घायल हुए थे। परिवार को सामने आकर इसका खुलासा करना चाहिए क्योंकि इस घटना के बाद मुंबई में ऐसा माहौल बन गया कि मुंबई की कानून व्यवस्था ध्वस्त हो गई है, गृह मंत्रालय विफल हो गया है, महाराष्ट्र सरकार बर्बाद हो गई है, और मुंबई में हर नागरिक असुरक्षित है। 

शिवसेना नेता ने अभिनेता के स्वास्थ्य में शीघ्र सुधार पर सवाल उठाया, जो 16 जनवरी की सुबह कई बार चाकू मारने के बाद बिगड़ गया था। उन्होंने कहा, ”सैफ जिस तरह से (अस्पताल से) बाहर आए, ऐसा लग रहा है जैसे 4 दिन पहले कुछ हुआ ही नहीं…” उन्होंने सोचा कि क्या इतनी गंभीर चोट वाला व्यक्ति इतनी जल्दी ठीक हो सकता है। उन्होंने आगे कहा, “मैं डॉक्टरों से पूछना चाहता हूं कि जिस व्यक्ति का ऑपरेशन 6 घंटे तक चला हो, क्या वह 4 दिन के अंदर इतनी अच्छी हालत में आ सकता है?”

इसके तुरंत बाद, शिवसेना (यूबीटी) नेता आनंद दुबे ने संजय निरुपम पर उनके सवालों पर पलटवार करते हुए कहा कि उनके “दिमाग को इलाज की जरूरत है।” आनंद दुबे ने कहा कि अभिनेता अपने शुरुआती जीवन से ही फिट रहे हैं। दुबे ने कहा, “…संजय निरुपम के दिमाग को इलाज की जरूरत है। लीलावती के पास अच्छे डॉक्टर हैं जिन्होंने सैफ अली खान का इलाज किया। अभिनेता कॉलेज के समय से ही फिट हैं, फिल्मों में भी फिट दिखते हैं और क्रिकेट, गोल्फ और घुड़सवारी करते देखे गए हैं…।”
