लोकसभा में वक्फ (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2025 पर बहस में भाग लेते हुए अमित शाह ने कहा कि यदि 2013 में कांग्रेस के नेतृत्व वाली यूपीए-2 सरकार के दौरान वक्फ (संशोधन) अधिनियम पारित नहीं किया गया होता तो नए कानून की आवश्यकता नहीं पड़ती।
केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने बुधवार को कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी वक्फ विधेयक के संबंध में राष्ट्रीय जनता दल (राजद) प्रमुख लालू प्रसाद की इच्छा पूरी कर रहे हैं और उन्होंने विपक्ष पर ऐसा करने में विफल रहने का आरोप लगाया। लोकसभा में वक्फ (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2025 पर बहस में भाग लेते हुए अमित शाह ने कहा कि यदि 2013 में कांग्रेस के नेतृत्व वाली यूपीए-2 सरकार के दौरान वक्फ (संशोधन) अधिनियम पारित नहीं किया गया होता तो नए कानून की आवश्यकता नहीं पड़ती।
शाह ने कहा कि जब 2013 में वक्फ में संशोधन पेश किए गए थे, तब लालू प्रसाद ने कहा था कि वे एक सख्त कानून चाहते हैं और चोरी करने वालों को जेल भेजना चाहते हैं। उन्होंने संसद में लालू यादव के भाषण का भी हवाला दिया, जिसमें उन्होंने कहा था, “हम सरकार द्वारा पेश किए गए संशोधन विधेयक का स्वागत करते हैं। मैं (भाजपा नेता) शाहनवाज हुसैन और अन्य लोगों द्वारा दिए गए बयानों का समर्थन करता हूं। अधिकांश जमीन हड़पी गई है, चाहे वह सरकारी हो या अन्य। वक्फ बोर्ड के लोगों ने सभी कीमती जमीनें बेच दी हैं। पटना में डाक बंगला की संपत्ति पर अपार्टमेंट बनाए गए हैं। हम संशोधनों का समर्थन करते हैं, लेकिन हम चाहते हैं कि आप (यूपीए-2 सरकार) भविष्य में एक सख्त कानून लेकर आएं…।”
इसके अलावा, विपक्षी सदस्यों की ओर देखते हुए गृह मंत्री ने कहा कि नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार अब लालू यादव की इच्छा पूरी कर रही है। शाह ने लोकसभा में कहा, “लालू प्रसाद की इच्छाएं उन्होंने पूरी नहीं कीं, बल्कि नरेंद्र मोदी ऐसा कर रहे हैं।” लोकसभा में अपने भाषण में गृह मंत्री ने विपक्ष पर वक्फ (संशोधन) विधेयक को लेकर भय फैलाने का भी आरोप लगाया। शाह ने कहा, “कोई भी गैर-इस्लामिक सदस्य वक्फ का हिस्सा नहीं होगा। धार्मिक संस्था के प्रबंधन के लिए किसी गैर-मुस्लिम की नियुक्ति का न तो कोई प्रावधान है और न ही हमारा ऐसा कोई प्रावधान लाने का इरादा है।”
