मौजूदा समय में टीम इंडिया के सीनियर खिलाड़ी रोहित शर्मा और विराट कोहली वनडे टीम का हिस्सा हैं। हाल रोहित शर्मा से वनडे टीम की कप्तान छीनी गई और युवा बल्लेबाज शुभमन गिल को सौंपी गई। वहीं कहा नहीं जा सकता है कि ये दोनों दिग्गज खिलाड़ी 2027 वनडे वर्ल्ड कप में खेलेंगे या नहीं। 

फिलहाल रोहित शर्मा 38 साल के हैं और वो अगले वनडे वर्ल्ड कप तक 40 के हो जाएंगे। ऐसे में उनकी फिटनेस उनका कितना साथ देगी या फिर कोहली उस टूर्नामेंट तक खुद को किस तरह टीम से जोड़े रखते हैं ये बड़ा सवाल है।

कोहली और रोहित अगर अगले वर्ल्ड कप में भारत के लिए खेलना चाहते हैं तो इसके लिए उन्हें क्या करना चाहिए इसके बारे में टीम इंडिया के पूर्व तेज गेंदबाज इरफान पठान ने बताया है। दरअसल, पठान चाहते हैं कि ये सीनियर खिलाड़ी अपनी फिटनेस बनाए रखने के लिए वनडे सीरीज के बीच घरेलू क्रिकेट खेलें। 

इरफान पठान ने अपने यूट्यूब चैनल पर बात करते हुए कहा कि रोहित और विराट 2027 वनडे वर्ल्ड कप खेलना चाहते हैं लेकिन खेल फिटनेस उनके लिए बड़ी चुनौती होगी। रोहित ने अपनी फिटनेस पर अच्छा काम किया है और वो काफी फिट भी दिख रहे हैं लेकिन नियमत फिटनेस और खेल के समय की फिटनेस में काफी फर्क होता है। अगर आप नियमित क्रिकेट नहीं खेल हे हैं तो फिटनस बनाए रखना चुनौती होती है ऐसे में उन्हें घरेलू क्रिकेट में खेलना होगा। 

इरफान ने आगे कहा कि, दोनों ही बड़े खिलाड़ी हैं और जानते हैं कि क्या करना है। उनके पास अनुभव की कोई कमी नहीं है लेकिन वो अब टी20 नहीं खेल रहे हैं और वनडे वर्ल्ड कप 2027 से पहले उनके द्वारा खेले जाने वाले कुछ मैचों के बीच काफी अंतराल होगा। इसके लिए उन्हें नियमित रूप से खेलने की जरूरत होगी और तभी उन दोनों का 2027 वनडे वर्ल्ड कप में खेलने का सपना साकार हो सकता है।
