सीबीआई ने शीना बोरा हत्याकांड में गवाहों की अपनी दूसरी सूची यहां एक विशेष अदालत में पेश की, जिसमें आरोपी इंद्राणी मुखर्जी की बेटी विधि मुखर्जी भी शामिल है। सूची में 125 व्यक्तियों का उल्लेख है, जिन्हें एजेंसी मामले में अभियोजन पक्ष के गवाह के रूप में पूछताछ करने का प्रस्ताव दे रही है। यह पिछले सप्ताह केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) द्वारा प्रस्तुत पहली सूची के अतिरिक्त है, जिसमें 69 गवाहों के नाम थे। पिछले सप्ताह, मामले की मुख्य आरोपियों में से एक इंद्राणी मुखर्जी ने सीबीआई से इस बात पर स्पष्टता मांगी थी कि क्या विधि को गवाह के रूप में हटा दिया गया है, ताकि वह उससे मिल सके।

यह अपराध 2015 में तब प्रकाश में आया जब राय, जो बाद में इस मामले में सरकारी गवाह बन गया, ने एक अन्य मामले में अपनी गिरफ्तारी के बाद विवरण का खुलासा किया। पूर्व मीडिया कार्यकारी इंद्राणी और खन्ना को अगस्त 2015 में गिरफ्तार किया गया था, और इंद्राणी के पूर्व पति और मीडिया दिग्गज पीटर मुखर्जी को तीन महीने बाद गिरफ्तार किया गया था। सभी आरोपी फिलहाल जमानत पर बाहर हैं।
