प्रसाद ने कहा स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के दौरान, अलग विश्वविद्यालय, अलग निर्वाचन क्षेत्र जैसे छोटे-छोटे मुद्दों ने अंततः स्वतंत्रता के दौरान भारत के विभाजन का कारण बना। भाजपा सांसद तेजस्वी सूर्या ने इसे धर्मांतरण को बढ़ावा देने वाला कदम बताते हुए कहा कि यह सरकार वोट बैंक की राजनीति के लिए सत्ता और सार्वजनिक संसाधनों का दुरुपयोग कर रही है और हमारी अर्थव्यवस्था को राजनीतिक अवसरवाद के खेल के मैदान में बदल रही है। बीजेपी ने कहा कि ने कहा कि संविधान के तहत धर्म आधारित आरक्षण अस्वीकार्य है। उन्होंने कहा कि पाकिस्तान के संस्थापक मोहम्मद अली जिन्ना भले ही चले गए हों, लेकिन अपने पीछे वे लोग छोड़ गए हैं जो उनकी राजनीति करते हैं। प्रसाद ने कहा कि देश में बड़ी संख्या में मुसलमान अब ऐसी राजनीति पसंद नहीं करते।” प्रसाद ने कहा कि भाजपा मौलाना अबुल कलाम आजाद और पूर्व राष्ट्रपति एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम जैसी मुस्लिम हस्तियों का सम्मान करती है। उन्होंने कहा कि नरेन्द्र मोदी सरकार ने अंडमान और निकोबार क्षेत्र में एक द्वीप का नाम परमवीर चक्र विजेता अब्दुल हामिद के नाम पर रखा है। प्रसाद ने कहा कि कांग्रेस नेता इन दिनों भाजपा पर निशाना साधने के लिए भीम राव आंबेडकर की तस्वीरें लेकर घूमते हैं। उन्होंने आंबेडकर द्वारा प्रथम प्रधानमंत्री जवाहरलाल नेहरू की इस बात के लिए की गई आलोचना का हवाला दिया कि नेहरू मुसलमानों के लिए बोलते हैं, लेकिन अनुसूचित जातियों के कल्याण की बात नहीं करतें।
