छत्तीसगढ़ के दंतेवाड़ा जिले में सोमवार को सुरक्षा बलों के सामने 26 नक्सलियों ने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया, जिनमें तीन इनामी नक्सली भी शामिल हैं। राज्य को नक्सल मुक्त बनाने के सरकार के प्रयासों के बीच यह कदम उठाया गया है। हाल के महीनों में सुरक्षा बलों और नक्सलियों के बीच मुठभेड़ों की एक श्रृंखला देखने को मिली है, जिसमें कई उग्रवादियों को मार गिराया गया है। हालांकि, एक सकारात्मक बदलाव यह भी देखने को मिला है कि अब कई नक्सली आत्मसमर्पण कर रहे हैं।

अधिकारियों के अनुसार, आत्मसमर्पण करने वाले नक्सलियों में से राजेश कश्यप, जो आमदई क्षेत्र के जनमिलिशिया कमांडर के रूप में काम करता था, पर 3 लाख रुपये का इनाम था। जनताना सरकार दस्ते के प्रमुख कोसा माडवी पर 1 लाख रुपये का इनाम था, जबकि सीएनएम (चेतना नाट्य मंच) के सदस्य छोटू कुंजाम पर 50,000 रुपये का इनाम था। इसके साथ ही कुल 953 नक्सलियों, जिनमें 224 नकद पुरस्कार शामिल हैं, ने अब दंतेवाड़ा में ‘लोन वर्राटू’ अभियान के तहत हथियार छोड़ दिए हैं, जो जून 2020 में विद्रोहियों को मुख्यधारा में लौटने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए शुरू किया गया था।
