फिलहाल 32 मजदूरों को बचाया जा चुका है। उत्तराखंड आपदा प्रबंधन विभाग ने कहा कि शाम 5:00 बजे तक 32 लोगों को सुरक्षित बचाया जा चुका था। बाकी 25 लोगों को निकालने की प्रक्रिया जारी है। चमोली जिले में बद्रीनाथ धाम से 6 किमी आगे हिमस्खलन में फंसे लोगों को बचाने के लिए राहत और बचाव कार्य युद्ध स्तर पर चल रहा है।
उत्तराखंड के चमोली जिले में माणा के पास शुक्रवार को भारी हिमस्खलन हुआ, जिसमें सीमा सड़क संगठन (बीआरओ) के साथ काम कर रहे कम से कम 57 मजदूर फंस गए। यह घटना भारत-चीन सीमा के पास ऊंचाई वाले इलाके में हुई, जहां बीआरओ के जवान सड़क निर्माण कार्य में लगे हुए थे। फिलहाल 32 मजदूरों को बचाया जा चुका है। उत्तराखंड आपदा प्रबंधन विभाग ने कहा कि शाम 5:00 बजे तक 32 लोगों को सुरक्षित बचाया जा चुका था। बाकी 25 लोगों को निकालने की प्रक्रिया जारी है। चमोली जिले में बद्रीनाथ धाम से 6 किमी आगे हिमस्खलन में फंसे लोगों को बचाने के लिए राहत और बचाव कार्य युद्ध स्तर पर चल रहा है।
केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने चमोली जिले में हुए हिमस्खलन को लेकर उत्तराखंड के सीएम पुष्कर धामी समेत डीजी आईटीबीपी और डीजी एनडीआरएफ से बात की। उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने हिमस्खलन पर गहरी चिंता व्यक्त की है। सीएम धामी ने पुष्टि की कि प्रभावित क्षेत्र में राहत और बचाव अभियान चलाने के लिए भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस (आईटीबीपी), बीआरओ और अन्य बचाव दल तैनात किए गए हैं। खराब मौसम और लगातार बर्फवारी के कारण मौके पर बचाव एवं राहत कार्य चलाने में मुश्किलें आ रही हैं। हांलांकि, घटना में अभी किसी के हताहत होने की सूचना नहीं है।
बदरीनाथ से करीब तीन किलोमीटर दूर माणा भारत तिब्बत सीमा पर बसा आखिरी गांव है जो 3200 मीटर की उंचाई पर स्थित है। हादसा स्थल हिमस्खलन की दृष्टि से शीतकाल में खतरनाक माना जाता रहा है इसलिए पूर्व में इस कैंप से लोगों को हटाकर बदरीनाथ में रखा जाता था। माणा के गांव प्रधान पिताम्बर सिंह ने पीटीआई को बताया कि इस बार बर्फ नही गिरने से कैंप बंद नहीं किया गया था और आज मजदूर हादसे की चपेट में आ गए। बद्रीनाथधाम, नर और नारायण पर्वत की तलहटी पर बसा है जिसके बीचोंबीच अलकनंदा नदी प्रवाहित होती है।हादसा नर पर्वत से आए हिमस्खलन के कारण हुआ।
