पार्टी समर्थकों के साथ आजम के बड़े बेटे अदीब सुबह से ही सीतापुर जिला कारागार के बाहर उनका स्वागत करने के लिए मौजूद हैं। अदीब ने पत्रकारों को बताया, आजम खान आज के नायक हैं। मैं सभी समर्थकों के साथ उनका स्वागत करने आया हूं।सवालों के जवाब में उन्होंने कहा कि मुझे और कुछ नहीं कहना है। जो कुछ भी कहना होगा, मेरे पिता जेल से बाहर आने के बाद कहेंगे। कई मामलों का सामना कर रहे आजम खान के लगभग दो साल की कैद के बाद जमानत पर जेल से बाहर आने की उम्मीद है। जिला प्रशासन ने किसी भी अप्रिय घटना को रोकने के लिए सीतापुर में भारतीय न्याय संहिता (बीएनएसएस) की धारा 163 के तहत निषेधाज्ञा लागू कर दी, लेकिन बड़ी संख्या में समर्थक अपने वाहनों के साथ जेल के पास पहुंचने में कामयाब रहे। इससे यातायात बाधित हो गया। यातायात पुलिस ने प्रतिबंधों का उल्लंघन कर जमा हुए कई वाहनों के चालान काटे। नगर क्षेत्र के पुलिस क्षेत्राधिकारी (सीओ) विनायक भोसले ने कहा, धारा 163 लागू होने के बावजूद अफरा-तफरी और भीड़भाड़ थी। वाहनों को जेल के पास आने की अनुमति नहीं थी, लेकिन वे किसी तरह पहुंच गए। आगे की जटिलताओं से बचने के लिए कार्रवाई करनी पड़ी। समाजवादी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय सचिव व पूर्व विधायक अनूप गुप्ता और जिला अध्यक्ष छत्रपति यादव समेत कई नेता और भारी संख्या में कार्यकर्ता खान का स्वागत करने के लिए जेल के बाहर मौजूद दिखे।

समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता शिवपाल सिंह यादव ने समाजवादी पार्टी नेता आजम खान के खिलाफ सभी मामलों में जारी जमानत वारंट पर कहा कि सरकार ने आजम खान को गलत केस में फंसाया है लेकिन कोर्ट ने उन्हें राहत दी है। इसके लिए हम कोर्ट का स्वागत करते हैं… उन पर सैकड़ों केस लगाए गए हैं। समाजवादी पार्टी उनकी पूरी मदद कर रही है।
