कैप्टन सुमीत सभरवाल के पिता पुष्करराज ने मुंबई के पवई में अपने घर के बाहर अपने बेटे को भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि दी। कैप्टन सभरवाल लंदन जाने वाली एयर इंडिया की उस दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण उड़ान को उड़ा रहे थे, जो 12 जून को अहमदाबाद में उड़ान भरने के तुरंत बाद दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गई थी।
कैप्टन सुमीत सभरवाल के पिता पुष्करराज ने मुंबई के पवई में अपने घर के बाहर अपने बेटे को भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि दी। कैप्टन सभरवाल लंदन जाने वाली एयर इंडिया की उस दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण उड़ान को उड़ा रहे थे, जो 12 जून को अहमदाबाद में उड़ान भरने के तुरंत बाद दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गई थी। पिता की आंखे भरी हुई थी और उनके हाथ कांप रहे थे। अपने बेटे की मौत पर उसकी क्या हालत होगी इसका अंदाजा हम और लगा नहीं सकते। कैप्टन सभरवाल के पिता की उम्र ज्यादा लग रही थी। वह बस हाथ जोड़कर नम आंखों से अपने बच्चे को देख रहे थे। यह दृश्य किसी के दिल को भी तोड़ देने वाला था।
अहमदाबाद में पिछले सप्ताह दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हुए एअर इंडिया के विमान के पायलट कैप्टन सुमित सभरवाल का पार्थिव शरीर मंगलवार को मुंबई लाया गया। अधिकारियों ने यह जानकारी दी।
एक अधिकारी ने बताया कि सभरवाल के पार्थिव शरीर को एक ताबूत में रखकर विमान से सुबह मुंबई हवाई अड्डे पर पहुंचाया गया। उन्होंने कहा कि उनके परिवार के सदस्य शव को पवई के जल वायु विहार स्थित उनके आवास पर ले जाएंगे।
उन्होंने बताया कि पार्थिव शरीर को अंतिम दर्शन के लिए एक घंटे तक सभरवाल के घर पर रखा जाएगा और बाद में उनका अंतिम संस्कार चकला विद्युत शवदाह गृह में किया जाएगा।
सभरवाल (56) मुंबई में अपने बुजुर्ग माता-पिता के साथ रहते थे।
लंदन जा रहा एअर इंडिया का विमान (एआई-171) 12 जून को अहमदाबाद में दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया था जिसमें 242 यात्री और चालक दल के सदस्य सवार थे।
विमान के एक मेडिकल कॉलेज परिसर में दुर्घटनाग्रस्त होने से उसमें सवार एक यात्री को छोड़कर बाकी सभी की मौत हो गई, जबकि मेडिकल कॉलेज परिसर में मौजूद अन्य 29 लोगों की भी मौत हो गई।
इस विमान की कमान कैप्टन सभरवाल और उनके सहयोगी फर्स्ट ऑफिसर क्लाइव कुंदर संभाल रहे थे। डीजीसीए ने पहले एक बयान में बताया था कि सभरवाल के पास 8,200 घंटे उड़ान का अनुभव था, जबकि कुंदर के पास 1,100 घंटे उड़ान का अनुभव था।
