मध्य प्रदेश के वरिष्ठ भाजपा नेता और मंत्री कैलाश विजयवर्गीय ने गुरुवार को लड़कियों के कपड़ों को लेकर विवाद खड़ा कर दिया। मंत्री ने कहा, “मुझे ऐसी लड़कियां पसंद नहीं हैं जो छोटे कपड़े पहनती हैं।” एक सभा को संबोधित करते हुए मंत्री ने कहा कि पश्चिम में कम कपड़े पहनने वाली महिला को सुंदर माना जाता है। लेकिन भारत में हम एक लड़की को तभी सुंदर मानते हैं जब वह अच्छे कपड़े पहनती है, गहने पहनती है और शालीनता से पेश आती है।
उन्होंने कम कपड़े पहनने वाली महिलाओं की तुलना कम भाषण देने वाले राजनेताओं से की और दोनों को “सामग्री की कमी” बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि सरल शब्दों में कहें तो, कम कपड़े पहनने वाली महिलाएं कम भाषण देने वाले राजनेताओं की तरह हैं; दोनों में ही सामग्री की कमी है। मैं महिलाओं को देवी के रूप में देखता हूं और उन्हें अच्छे कपड़े पहनने चाहिए। मुझे ऐसी महिलाएं या लड़कियां पसंद नहीं हैं जो खुले कपड़े पहनती हैं, यहां तक कि मैं उनके साथ फोटो खिंचवाने से भी मना कर देता हूं।
विजयवर्गीय ने कहा, “जब लड़कियां सेल्फी लेने आती हैं, तो मैं उनसे कहता हूं, अच्छे कपड़े पहनकर आओ, फिर हम फोटो लेंगे।” 2023 में कैलाश विजयवर्गीय ने कहा था, “खराब कपड़े पहनने वाली लड़कियां रामायण की शूर्पणखा जैसी दिखती हैं।” उनकी टिप्पणी का एक वीडियो वायरल हुआ और नेटिज़न्स ने इस पर नाराजगी जताई। उन्होंने यह भी कहा था कि वह “शराबी लोगों को छह-सात बार थप्पड़ मारना चाहेंगे।” प्रभासाक्षी इस बयान की पुष्टि नहीं कर रहा है। हालांकि, अलग-अलग मीडिया रिपोर्ट में इस तरह की खबरें चल रही हैं।
