यह सामने आया है कि अदिति नाम का कोई वास्तविक व्यक्ति नहीं हो सकता है। इसके बजाय, संभवतः इस नाम का इस्तेमाल गोहिल से संपर्क बनाए रखने के लिए एक पाकिस्तानी हैंडलर द्वारा किया गया था। रिपोर्ट्स बताती हैं कि गोहिल पिछले एक साल से इस हैंडलर के संपर्क में था। आरोपी के मोबाइल फोन को जांच के लिए फोरेंसिक साइंस लेबोरेटरी (FSL) भेजा गया है। सबसे ज़्यादा चिंताजनक बात यह है कि पाकिस्तान के जासूसी नेटवर्क की पहुँच है, जिसके पास स्थानीय स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों की संपर्क जानकारी तक पहुँच है। गुजरात एटीएस अपनी जाँच जारी रखे हुए है और हाई अलर्ट पर है क्योंकि वह व्यापक जासूसी नेटवर्क का पर्दाफाश करने और इसमें शामिल अन्य लोगों को न्याय के कटघरे में लाने के लिए काम कर रही है।
सीमा सुरक्षा बल (बीएसएफ) ने गुजरात के बनासकांठा जिले में भारत-पाकिस्तान सीमा पर घुसपैठ की कोशिश को नाकाम कर दिया। यह घटना 23 मई की रात को हुई। बीएसएफ गुजरात फ्रंटियर द्वारा जारी एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, सतर्क जवानों ने एक संदिग्ध व्यक्ति को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सीमा पार करने के बाद सीमा बाड़ की ओर बढ़ते देखा।
