मध्य प्रदेश पुलिस ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देश पर ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के दौरान मीडिया को जानकारी देने वाली कर्नल सोफिया कुरैशी के खिलाफ राज्य के मंत्री विजय शाह की अपमानजनक टिप्पणी की जांच के लिए सोमवार देर रात तीन सदस्यीय विशेष जांच दल (एसआईटी) का गठन किया। एसआईटी 28 मई तक सुप्रीम कोर्ट के समक्ष अपनी रिपोर्ट पेश करेगी। मध्य प्रदेश के पुलिस महानिदेशक (डीजीपी) कैलाश मकवाना ने एसआईटी गठित करने का आदेश जारी किया और निर्देश दिया कि सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के आदेश का अनुपालन सुनिश्चित किया जाए।
आदेश में लिखा है कि, “माननीय सर्वोच्च न्यायालय, नई दिल्ली द्वारा प्रकरण क्रमांक डायरी क्रमांक-27093/2025 (कुंवर विजय शाह बनाम उच्च न्यायालय, म.प्र. एवं अन्य) में पारित निर्णय दिनांक 19.05.2025 के परिपालन में, थाना मानपुर, जिला इंदौर (ग्रामीण) के अपराध क्रमांक 188/25 धारा 152 भादवि में भारतीय दण्ड संहिता 2023 की धारा 196 (1) (बी), 197 (1) (सी) के अन्तर्गत अनुसंधान हेतु विशेष अनुसंधान दल (एस.आई.टी.) का गठन किया जाता है।” पुलिस महानिरीक्षक प्रमोद वर्मा, उप महानिरीक्षक कल्याण चक्रवर्ती और पुलिस अधीक्षक वाहिनी सिंह इसके सदस्य हैं।
