सेना के दिग्गजों ने बेंगलुरु में IAF विंग कमांडर आदित्य बोस और उनकी पत्नी स्क्वाड्रन लीडर मधुमिता पर कथित हमले की कड़ी निंदा की है। कथित तौर पर सड़क पर रोष की घटना के रूप में शुरू हुआ मामला भाषा को लेकर विवाद में बदल गया। दिग्गज अब इस बात पर चिंता जता रहे हैं कि क्या रक्षा कर्मियों से यह अपेक्षा की जानी चाहिए कि वे जिस भी राज्य में तैनात हैं, वहां की स्थानीय भाषा सीखें।

एक्स पर एक पोस्ट में, पूर्व चिनार कॉर्प्स कमांडर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल (सेवानिवृत्त) केजेएस ढिल्लों ने बताया कि एक रक्षा अधिकारी को आमतौर पर अपनी सेवा के दौरान 10-15 अलग-अलग राज्यों में तैनात किया जाता है। उन्होंने सवाल किया कि क्या इन अधिकारियों के लिए देश और उसके लोगों की रक्षा करते हुए अपनी जान देने से पहले प्रत्येक राज्य की भाषा सीखना आवश्यक है।
उन्होंने कहा “बेंगलुरु – हमेशा से ही इसे एक खूबसूरत शहर के रूप में जाना जाता था, जहाँ अद्भुत लोग शांति और सद्भाव से रहते हैं। एक रक्षा बल अधिकारी को अपनी सेवा के दौरान 10-15 राज्यों में तैनात किया जाता है … क्या उसे अपने राष्ट्र और उस राज्य के लोगों की रक्षा करते हुए अपनी जान देने से पहले प्रत्येक राज्य की भाषा सीखनी होगी?”।
मेजर माणिक एम जॉली (सेवानिवृत्त) ने अपनी चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि “कन्नड़ बोलो” मुद्दा वास्तव में हाथ से निकल रहा है। उन्होंने एक्स पर लिखा “यह – कन्नड़ बोलो – बात वास्तव में हाथ से निकल रही है! डीआरडीओ, बैंगलोर में तैनात एक सेवारत विंग कमांडर पर अब क्रूर हमला किया गया। सैनिक पूरे देश में अपनी ड्यूटी करते हैं। यह शर्मनाक है कि एक राज्य उनके साथ इस तरह का व्यवहार करता है।
एक अन्य सेना के दिग्गज ने कहा “बिल्कुल शर्मनाक। लेकिन सिर्फ़ इतना कहने से काम नहीं चलेगा। दोषियों को सज़ा मिलनी चाहिए और एक उदाहरण पेश करना चाहिए। साथ ही केंद्र को इस तरह की क्षेत्रीय और भाषाई कट्टरता को नियंत्रित करने और खत्म करने के लिए कार्यप्रणाली पर कानून बनाने पर विचार करने की ज़रूरत है। बहुत हो गया।
घटना का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल होने के बाद, बेंगलुरु पुलिस ने घटना पर ध्यान दिया और विवरण की पुष्टि करने के लिए काम कर रही थी। इसके अलावा, पुलिस आगे की जांच के लिए पीड़ित से संपर्क स्थापित करने की भी कोशिश कर रही थी।
