27 साल के वनवास के बाद भाजपा ने दिल्ली में सत्ता में वापसी कर ली है। एक दशक के शासनकाल के बाद आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) का विधानसभा चुनाव 2025 में सफाया हो गया। शीर्ष नेताओं अरविंद केजरीवाल और मनीष सिसौदिया तक अपनी सीट बचाने में कामयाब नहीं हो पाए। कांग्रेस लगातार तीसरी बार एक भी सीट नहीं हासिल कर अपना पुराना अविश्वसनीय रिकॉर्ड बरकरार रखा है। वहीं आप की हार के बाद राज्यसभा सदस्य स्वाति मालीवाल ने द्रौपदी के चीरहरण की एक तस्वीर साझा करते हुए कहा कि अहंकार के कारण दिल्ली विधानसभा चुनाव में आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) और इसके प्रमुख अरविंद केजरीवाल की हार हुई है।

आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) के संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल को भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के प्रवेश वर्मा ने नयी दिल्ली निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में 4,089 मतों के अंतर से हरा दिया है, जो सत्तारूढ़ पार्टी के लिए बहुत बड़ा झटका है। अपनी पार्टी की हार स्वीकार करते हुए केजरीवाल ने एक वीडियो संदेश में कहा कि हम जनादेश को विनम्रता के साथ स्वीकार करते हैं। मैं भाजपा को उसकी जीत पर बधाई देता हूं और उम्मीद करता हूं कि वह दिल्ली के निवासियों की अपेक्षाओं को पूरा करेगी।
