Kusum । Jan 25 2025 6:03PMमैडिसन कीज ने ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपन 2025 का महिला सिंगल्स का खिताब जीत लिया। इस दौरान उन्होंने महिला रैंकिंग में वर्ल्ड नंबर-1 खिलाड़ी अरीना सबालेंका को हराया। हालांकि, इस मैच को सभी को उम्मीद थी कि सबालेंका खिताब जीतने में कामयाब होंगी लेकिन अमेरिकी खिलाड़ी मैडिसन ने बड़ा उलटफेर करने के साथ तीन सेट में मुकाबले को अपने नाम कर दिया।

अमेरिका की 19वीं वरीयता प्राप्त मैडिसन कीज ने ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपन 2025 का महिला सिंगल्स का खिताब जीत लिया। इस दौरान उन्होंने महिला रैंकिंग में वर्ल्ड नंबर-1 खिलाड़ी अरीना सबालेंका को हराया। हालांकि, इस मैच को सभी को उम्मीद थी कि सबालेंका खिताब जीतने में कामयाब होंगी लेकिन अमेरिकी खिलाड़ी मैडिसन ने बड़ा उलटफेर करने के साथ तीन सेट में मुकाबले को अपने नाम कर दिया।

इस मैच में सबालेंका ने पहला सेट गंवाने के बाद दूसरे सेट में वापसी तो की लेकिन तीसरे और निर्णायक सेट को मैडिसन ने जीतने के साथ अपने करियर का पहला ग्रैंड स्लैम टाइटल भी जीता। मैडिसन कीज और अरीना सबालेंका के बीच खेले गए ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपन 2025 महिला सिंगल्स ग्रैंड स्लैम फाइनल मुकाबले को लेकर बात की जाए तो उसमें पहले सेट को मैडिसन ने 6-3 से अपने नाम किया वहीं इसके बाद दूसरे सेट में अरीना सबालेंका ने शानदार वापसी करने के साथ उसे 6-2 से जीता। 

अब 1-1 से मैच बराबरी पर आने के बाद सभी फैंस की नजरें तीसरे और निर्णायक सेट पर थी जिसमें मैडिसन ने फिर से वापसी करने के साथ इस रोमांचक सेट को 7-5 से जीता और अरीना साबलेंका का तीसरी बार खिताब जीतने का सपना भी तोड़ दिया। अगर सबालेंका ऐसा करने में कामयाब होती तो वह साल 1997 से 1999 में मार्टिना हिंगिस के बाद पहली महिला खिलाड़ी होती जो मेलबर्न पार्क में लगातार  तीन बार ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपन को अपने नाम करती।  

वहीं अमेरिका की खिलाड़ी ने जीत दर्ज करते ही अपना चेहरा अपने हाथों से ढक लिया, फिर हाथों को ऊपर उठा का जश्न मनाया। उन्होंने इसके बाद अपने पति और कोच (2023 से) ब्योर्न फ्रैटांगेलो और टीम के अन्य सदस्यों को गले लगाया। सबालेंका ने कीज को बधाई देने के बाद अपने टेबल के पास जाकर रैकेट को जोर से जमीन पर पटका और अपनी भावनाओं को छिपाने के लिए सफेद तौलिये से  चेहरा ढक लिया। अमेरिकी ओपन 2015 में फ्लाविया पेनेटा  के 33 साल की उम्र में चैम्पियन बनने के बाद कीज सबसे उम्रदराज महिला ग्रैंड स्लैम चैम्पियन  हैं। कीज अपने 46वें ग्रैंड स्लैम में चैम्पियन बनी।
