दिल्ली के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने गुरुवार को महाराष्ट्र सरकार पर बॉलीवुड अभिनेता सैफ अली खान पर चाकू से हमला करने की कोशिश के मद्देनजर मुंबई में लोगों को सुरक्षा प्रदान करने में विफल रहने का आरोप लगाया। केजरीवाल ने प्रेस वार्ता ने कहा कि आज सुबह हमें चौंकाने वाली खबर मिली कि सैफ अली खान को अज्ञात लोगों ने चाकू मार दिया। फिलहाल उनका इलाज चल रहा है। मैं प्रार्थना करता हूं कि वह जल्द से जल्द ठीक हो जाएं लेकिन यह चिंता की बात है कि इतने बड़े अभिनेता जो इतनी सुरक्षित जगह पर रहते हैं, उनके घर पर इस तरह से हमला किया जाता है, इससे राज्य और केंद्र सरकार पर सवाल खड़े होते हैं।

केजरीवाल ने कहा कि इससे पहले सलमान खान पर हमला हुआ था, बाबा सिद्दीकी की हत्या हुई थी। अगर सरकार इतनी बड़ी हस्तियों को सुरक्षा नहीं दे सकती तो आम लोगों का क्या होगा? हर दिन वे (भाजपा) कहते हैं कि वे भारत बांग्लादेश सीमा की रक्षा करने में सक्षम नहीं हैं। अगर वे ऐसा नहीं कर पा रहे हैं तो उन्हें इस्तीफा दे देना चाहिए। केजरीवाल ने तंज सकते हुए कहा कि डबल इंजन सरकार न तो सुशासन दे सकती है और न ही लोगों को सुरक्षा। 

इससे पहले दिन में, सैफ अली खान की टीम ने एक बयान जारी कर कहा था कि अभिनेता खतरे से बाहर हैं और फिलहाल ठीक हो रहे हैं। बयान में कहा गया, “सैफ अली खान सर्जरी से बाहर आ गए हैं और खतरे से बाहर हैं। फिलहाल उनकी हालत में सुधार है और डॉक्टर उनकी प्रगति पर नजर रख रहे हैं। परिवार के सभी सदस्य सुरक्षित हैं और पुलिस घटना की जांच कर रही है।” अभिनेता सैफ अली खान पर हमले की जांच कर रही टीम में शामिल मुंबई पुलिस के डीसीपी जोन 9 दीक्षित गेदाम ने कहा कि जांच जारी है. उन्होंने कहा, “जांच चल रही है। मैं विवरण का खुलासा नहीं कर सकता।”
