छत्तीसगढ़ के सुकमा में सुरक्षा बलों के साथ मुठभेड़ में गुरुवार को 5 लाख रुपये की इनामी महिला नक्सली मारी गई। पीटीआई ने पुलिस के हवाले से बताया कि बुस्की नुप्पो नाम की यह नक्सली कई हिंसक घटनाओं में वांछित थी। अधिकारियों के अनुसार, गादीरास थाना क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत गुफड़ी और पेरमापारा गाँवों के बीच स्थित एक जंगली पहाड़ी पर सुबह मुठभेड़ शुरू हुई। राज्य पुलिस की एक विशेष इकाई, जिला रिजर्व गार्ड (डीआरजी) की एक टीम इलाके में नक्सलियों की मौजूदगी की खुफिया जानकारी के आधार पर तलाशी अभियान चला रही थी।

एक दिन पहले, छत्तीसगढ़ के नारायणपुर ज़िले में बारह नक्सलियों ने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया, जिनमें नौ नक्सलियों पर कुल 18 लाख रुपये का इनाम घोषित था। इनमें पाँच महिलाएँ भी शामिल थीं। नारायणपुर के पुलिस अधीक्षक रॉबिन्सन गुरिया के अनुसार, उन्होंने वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारियों और भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस (आईटीबीपी) के अधिकारियों के सामने आत्मसमर्पण किया। आत्मसमर्पण करने वाले सदस्यों ने कहा कि वे माओवादियों की खोखली विचारधारा से निराश हैं, निर्दोष आदिवासियों के खिलाफ हिंसा से परेशान हैं, और प्रतिबंधित समूह के भीतर बढ़ते आंतरिक संघर्षों से परेशान हैं।
