सूत्रों ने बताया कि दिल्ली के मौजूदा एलजी वीके सक्सेना को जम्मू-कश्मीर या पश्चिम बंगाल भेजा जा सकता है। पीएम मोदी और गृह मंत्री अमित शाह के करीबी जम्मू-कश्मीर के एलजी मनोज सिन्हा को कथित तौर पर पार्टी संगठन में एक प्रमुख भूमिका के लिए विचार किया जा रहा है।

नाम न छापने की शर्त पर एक भाजपा नेता ने कहा कि सिन्हा सबसे अच्छे चुनावी रणनीतिकारों में से एक हैं और एक सख्त टास्कमास्टर हैं। पार्टी प्रमुख के पद के लिए उन्हें नजरअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता है। सूत्रों ने बताया कि वर्तमान में मणिपुर के राज्यपाल भल्ला, सक्सेना की जगह लेने के लिए सबसे आगे हैं, उनके बाद पूर्व आईएएस अधिकारी खुल्लर का नाम है। दिल्ली में प्रशासनिक भूमिकाओं में अपने अनुभव के कारण भल्ला को यह पद दिया जा रहा है।
हालांकि, मणिपुर में सरकार बनने के बाद ही भल्ला की राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में वापसी संभव है। ऐसी खबरें हैं कि सरकार पूर्वोत्तर मामलों को संभालने का अनुभव रखने वाले किसी पूर्व आईएएस या आईपीएस अधिकारी को मणिपुर का राज्यपाल नियुक्त कर सकती है। अगर सक्सेना को जम्मू-कश्मीर नहीं भेजा जाता है, तो वह मणिपुर के राज्यपाल की भूमिका के लिए उपयुक्त हैं।
