लखनऊ सुपर जाएंट्स के स्पिनर दिग्वेश राठी सोमवार को सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद के ओपनर अभिषेक शर्मा से भिड़ गए थे। उन्होंने नोटबुक सेलिब्रेशन के दौरान अभिषेक को बाहर जाने का इशारा किाय था, जिसके बाद दोनों में जमकर बहस हुई। अंपायर को बीच-बचाव कराना पड़ा था। बीसीसीआई ने राठी को कड़ी सजा सजाई सुनाई है। उन्हें आईपीएल 2025 में एक मैच के लिए बैन कर दिया गया है। वह निलंबन के कारण एलएसजी के अगले मैच में नहीं खेलेंगे, जो 22 मई को गुजरात टाइटंस के खिलाफ होगा। राठी की सजा पर भारत के पूर्व धाकड़ सलामी बल्लेबाज शिखर धवन ने अपनी प्रतिक्रिया दी है।
धवन ने मंगलवार को सोशल मीडिया प्लेऑफ एक्स पर लिखा कि, कभी-कभी कठिन तरीके से सीखना ही एकमात्र तरीका होता है जिससे सबक याद रहता है। उम्मीद है कि एक ऐसा टर्निंग पॉइंट होगा जहां राठी उस आग को और अधिक रचनात्मक तरीके से इस्तेमाल करना सीखेंगे और मैदान पर हर खिलाड़ी का सम्मान करेंगे, जिसका वह हकदार है।
धवन की पोस्ट पर क्रिकेट फैंस के जमकर रिएक्शन आ रहे हैं। एक यूजर ने कमेंट किया कि, खिलाड़ियों को एक-दूसरे का सम्मान करना चाहिए। अन्य ने कहा कि, दिग्वेश राठी का मैदान पर व्यवहार वाकई में उचित नहीं है।
आईपीएल प्रेस रिलीज में कहा गया कि, लखनऊ सुपर जाएंट्स के गेंदबाज दिग्वेश सिंह पर सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद के खिलाफ अपनी टीम के मैच के दौरान आईपीएल आचार संहित का उल्लंघन करने के लिए मैच फीस का 50 फीसदी जुर्माना लगाया गया है। ये इस सीजन में नियम 2.5 के तहत उनका तीसरा लेवल एक अपराध था और इसलिए उन्हें पहले के तीन डिमेरिट अंकों के अलावा दो और डिमेरिट अंक दिए गए हैं। इसमें एक अप्रैल 2025 को पंजाब किंग्स के खिलाफ एक डिमेरिट अंक और चार अप्रैल 2025 को मुंबई इंडियंस के खिलाफ दो डिमेरिट अंक शामिल हैं। उनके पास सीजन में 5 डिमेरिट अंक हैं, जिसका परिणाम एक मैच का निलंबन होता है इसलिए दिग्वेश को अब एलएसएजी के अगले मैच से निलंबित किया जाएगा। वहीं आईपीएल आचार संहिता का उल्लंघन के लिए अभिषेक शर्मा पर मैच फीस का 25 प्रतिशत जुर्माना लगाया गया।
