छत्तीसगढ़ पुलिस के साथ एक संयुक्त प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के दौरान एक महत्वपूर्ण घोषणा में, सीआरपीएफ के महानिदेशक ज्ञानेंद्र प्रताप सिंह ने घोषणा की कि भारत में नक्सल प्रभावित जिलों की संख्या नाटकीय रूप से घट गई है – 126 से घटकर सिर्फ 18 रह गई है। यह विकास संघर्ष क्षेत्र के केंद्र में वामपंथी उग्रवाद को खत्म करने के भारत के चल रहे प्रयासों में एक प्रमुख मील का पत्थर है। उन्होंने कहा कि हम 31 मार्च 2026 तक नक्सलवाद को समाप्त करने के लिए केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह द्वारा लिए गए संकल्प को पूरा करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं। हमने 31 शव (नक्सलियों के) बरामद किए हैं और यह 1200 वर्ग किलोमीटर का क्षेत्र है और हमें जानकारी है कि बड़ी संख्या में नक्सलियों को निष्प्रभावी कर दिया गया है।
ज्ञानेंद्र प्रताप सिंह ने कहा कि निष्प्रभावी किए गए 31 नक्सलियों में से 28 की पहचान कर ली गई है। ऑपरेशन को ऑपरेशन ब्लैक फॉरेस्ट नाम दिया गया था और कोबरा, सीआरपीएफ, छत्तीसगढ़ पुलिस की टीमें इस ऑपरेशन में शामिल थीं। इससे पहले किसी भी ऑपरेशन में इतनी बड़ी बरामदगी कभी नहीं हुई। यह हमारे लिए एक बड़ी उपलब्धि है। सीआरपीएफ प्रमुख ने छत्तीसगढ़ के बीजापुर जिले में अब तक के सबसे बड़े नक्सल विरोधी अभियान का विवरण भी दिया।
इस अभियान के दौरान नक्सली विद्रोहियों द्वारा इस्तेमाल किए जाने वाले 150 से अधिक भूमिगत बंकरों की खोज की गई और उन्हें नष्ट कर दिया गया। सिंह ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि अभियान केवल युद्ध अभियानों तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि इसमें उग्रवाद का समर्थन करने वाले वित्तीय नेटवर्क को भी नष्ट करना शामिल है। उन्होंने कहा, “एक बहुआयामी रणनीति लागू की जा रही है, जिसमें सशस्त्र कैडरों और उनके वित्तपोषण स्रोतों दोनों को लक्षित किया जा रहा है।” यह कार्रवाई प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह के नेतृत्व वाली व्यापक और निर्णायक रणनीति का हिस्सा है। उन्होंने कहा कि अधिकारी इसे देश में वामपंथी उग्रवाद को जड़ से खत्म करने के लिए अब तक किए गए सबसे व्यापक और समन्वित प्रयासों में से एक बताते हैं।
