पहलगाम में हुए आतंकवादी हमले के बाद अधिकारी कश्मीर घाटी में पर्यटन स्थल के निकटवर्ती पहाड़ों में सेना और अर्धसैनिक बलों की स्थायी तैनाती करके सुरक्षा कमियों को दूर करने की योजना पर काम कर रहे हैं।

पहलगाम हमले के एक दिन बाद जम्मू-कश्मीर के कुलगाम जिले में आतंकवादियों और सुरक्षा बलों के बीच एक और मुठभेड़ हुई। मुठभेड़ दक्षिण कश्मीर के कुलगाम जिले के तंगमर्ग इलाके में हुई। कुलगाम जिले के तंगमर्ग इलाके में तलाशी अभियान के दौरान गोलियों की आवाज सुनी गई। यह इलाका मशहूर अबरबल झरने के पास पड़ता है, जो एक लोकप्रिय पर्यटन स्थल है। यह इलाका पुंछ जिले की सीमा से सटा हुआ है। 

पहलगाम में हुए आतंकवादी हमले के बाद अधिकारी कश्मीर घाटी में पर्यटन स्थल के निकटवर्ती पहाड़ों में सेना और अर्धसैनिक बलों की स्थायी तैनाती करके सुरक्षा कमियों को दूर करने की योजना पर काम कर रहे हैं। सुरक्षा प्रतिष्ठान के अधिकारियों ने ‘पीटीआई-भाषा’ को बताया कि तीन जुलाई से शुरू होने वाली वार्षिक अमरनाथ तीर्थयात्रा से पहले सुरक्षा बलों में पुन:तैनाती की भी आवश्यकता है। रक्षा सूत्रों ने बताया कि घने जंगलों से घिरी बैसरन घाटी के घास के मैदानों के आसपास सुरक्षा बलों की कोई तैनाती नहीं है। उन्होंने बताया कि सबसे नजदीक सेना की राष्ट्रीय राइफल्स (आरआर) की तीसरी बटालियन की एक यूनिट और केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (सीआरपीएफ) की 116वीं बटालियन की एक कंपनी है। 

सूत्रों ने बताया कि सैनिकों को अपने स्थानों से इस स्थान तक पहुंचने में समय लगता है, जो कि 10-11 किलोमीटर दूर है, तथा बैसरन क्षेत्र तक केवल पैदल या घोड़े पर ही पहुंचा जा सकता है। सुरक्षा बल आमतौर पर कश्मीर घाटी में चौकियां स्थापित करके चोटियों पर गश्त करते हैं। वे इन चोटियों और घास के मैदानत तक पहुंच को नियंत्रित करते हैं। सुरक्षा एजेंसियां ​​अब सैनिकों की तैनाती को पुनः समायोजित करने की योजना बना रही हैं, ताकि उन्हें बैसरन घाटी क्षेत्र के करीब तैनात किया जा सके तथा जंगलों के पीछे के हिस्से को भी सुरक्षित किया जा सके एवं किसी भी आतंकवादी गतिविधि पर नजर रखी जा सके।
