इसके बाद गृह मंत्रालय ने ट्वीट किया कि नक्सलवाद को खत्म करने की हमारी मुहिम निरंतर जारी है। आज सुरक्षा बलों को नक्सलवाद को जड़ से उखाड़ने के लिए चल रहे अभियान में एक और बड़ी सफलता मिली। झारखंड के बोकारो में लुगु हिल्स में मुठभेड़ में 8 माओवादी मारे गए, जिनमें एक शीर्ष स्तर का नक्सली नेता विवेक, जिस पर 1 करोड़ रुपये का इनाम था, और दो अन्य कुख्यात नक्सली शामिल हैं। अभियान जारी है। हमारे सुरक्षा बलों की सराहना करें।

इससे पहले केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित शाह ने सभी छिपे हुए नक्सलियों से यथाशीघ्र आत्मसमर्पण करने और मुख्यधारा में शामिल होने का आह्वान करते हुए कहा कि सरकार 31 मार्च 2026 से पहले देश को नक्सलवाद के अभिशाप से मुक्त करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। शाह ने सोशल मीडिया मंच ‘एक्स’ पर जारी एक पोस्ट में कहा, ‘‘छिपे हुए नक्सलियों से मेरी अपील है कि मोदी सरकार की आत्मसमर्पण नीति को अपनाकर यथाशीघ्र हथियार डालें और मुख्यधारा में शामिल हों। इकत्तीस मार्च 2026 से पहले हम देश को नक्सलवाद के दंश से मुक्त करने के लिए संकल्पित हैं।’’
