वरिष्ठ कांग्रेस विधायक बीआर पाटिल ने पुष्टि की है कि वह ऑडियो क्लिप जिसमें वे आवास मंत्री ज़मीर अहमद खान के निजी सचिव सरफ़राज़ खान के साथ विभिन्न आवास योजनाओं के तहत घरों के आवंटन के लिए रिश्वत के बारे में बात करते हुए सुने जा रहे हैं, उनकी आवाज़ है और वे अपने आरोपों पर कायम हैं। इस बीच, उनके कट्टर प्रतिद्वंद्वी और पूर्व भाजपा विधायक सुभाष गुट्टेदार ने बीआर पाटिल द्वारा लगाए गए आरोपों की उच्च न्यायालय के एक मौजूदा न्यायाधीश द्वारा जांच की मांग की है।

बीआर पाटिल ने कहा कि उन्हें इस बारे में कोई जानकारी नहीं है कि आलाकमान ने मुख्यमंत्री से उनके आरोपों पर रिपोर्ट भेजने को कहा है। हालांकि, उन्होंने गुट्टेदार द्वारा लगाए गए आरोपों की न्यायिक जांच की मांग पर कोई टिप्पणी नहीं की। गुट्टेदार ने कहा कि कांग्रेस के ग्राम पंचायत अध्यक्षों की सिफारिशों पर कई घर कथित तौर पर वितरित किए गए थे, जो बीआर पाटिल के अनुयायी हैं। गुट्टेदार ने आरोप लगाया कि हालांकि बीआर पाटिल अलंद के विधायक हैं, लेकिन उनके (पाटिल के) भतीजे आरके पाटिल अलंद को नियंत्रित करते हैं। आरके पाटिल विधायक द्वारा किए जाने वाले कार्यों के लिए अपने एजेंटों के माध्यम से पैसे इकट्ठा करते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि अगर जांच की जाती है, तो सच्चाई सामने आ जाएगी।
