पंजाब के किसान नेता जगजीत सिंह डल्लेवाल ने रविवार को अपनी अनिश्चितकालीन भूख हड़ताल समाप्त कर दी, जो उन्होंने फसलों के लिए न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य (एमएसपी) पर कानूनी गारंटी सहित प्रमुख किसान मांगों को लेकर पिछले साल नवंबर में शुरू की थी। उन्होंने पंजाब के फतेहगढ़ साहिब जिले में स्थित सरहिंद में आयोजित ‘किसान महापंचायत’ में यह घोषणा की। डल्लेवाल ने सभा को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि आप (किसानों) ने मुझसे आमरण अनशन खत्म करने को कहा है। आंदोलन की देखभाल के लिए मैं आपका ऋणी हूं। मैं आपकी भावनाओं का सम्मान करता हूं। मैं आपका आदेश स्वीकार करता हूं। उनका यह फैसला केंद्रीय कृषि मंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान और केंद्रीय रेल राज्य मंत्री रवनीत सिंह बिट्टू द्वारा उनसे आमरण अनशन खत्म करने का आग्रह करने के एक दिन बाद आया है।
जगजीत डल्लेवाल कौन हैं?
डल्लेवाल संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा (गैर-राजनीतिक) और किसान मजदूर मोर्चा (केएमएम) के संयुक्त मंच के वरिष्ठ नेता हैं। उन्होंने पिछले साल 26 नवंबर को किसानों की मांगों को स्वीकार करने के लिए केंद्र पर दबाव बनाने के लिए अपनी अनिश्चितकालीन भूख हड़ताल शुरू की थी। जनवरी में केंद्र द्वारा किसान नेताओं को बातचीत के लिए आमंत्रित किए जाने के बाद दल्लेवाल ने खनौरी विरोध स्थल पर चिकित्सा सहायता लेना शुरू कर दिया, लेकिन अपना अनशन समाप्त नहीं किया।
शिवराज चौहान ने ‘भूख हड़ताल’ समाप्त करने का किया अनुरोध
केंद्रीय मंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने डल्लेवाल से भूख हड़ताल समाप्त करने की अपील की थी। एक्स पर एक पोस्ट में उन्होंने कहा कि भारत सरकार के प्रतिनिधियों और किसान संगठनों के प्रतिनिधियों के बीच उनकी मांगों को लेकर चल रही बातचीत जारी है। किसान नेता जगजीत सिंह डल्लेवाल अब अस्पताल से वापस आ गए हैं और हम उनके शीघ्र स्वस्थ होने की कामना करते हैं। हम उनसे यह भी अनुरोध करते हैं कि वे अपनी भूख हड़ताल समाप्त करें और हम पहले से तय तिथि के अनुसार 4 मई को सुबह 11 बजे किसान संगठनों के प्रतिनिधियों से बातचीत करेंगे। इसी तरह की अपील केंद्रीय मंत्री बिट्टू ने भी की। बिट्टू ने कहा कि आपका स्वास्थ्य ज़्यादा महत्वपूर्ण है और पंजाब के लोगों के लिए आपकी ज़िंदगी अनमोल है, क्योंकि किसानों और खेत मज़दूरों के संघर्ष के लिए आपके नेतृत्व की हमेशा ज़रूरत रहेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि लोकसभा सत्र के दौरान सभी भाजपा मंत्रियों और वरिष्ठ नेताओं ने डल्लेवाल के बारे में जानकारी ली और उनकी सलामती की कामना की। मंत्री ने दल्लेवाल से अपील की कि वे अपनी भूख हड़ताल खत्म करें और केंद्र सरकार से बातचीत के लिए आगे आएं।
