पुणे के स्वारगेट बस स्टेशन पर एक बस के अंदर 26 वर्षीय महिला से बलात्कार के आरोपी व्यक्ति को पुणे पुलिस ने शुक्रवार को शिरूर तहसील से गिरफ्तार किया। आरोपी दत्तात्रेय रामदास गाडे को पुणे में न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट प्रथम श्रेणी अदालत के समक्ष पेश किया गया। इसके बाद कोर्ट ने उसे 12 दिन की पुलिस हिरासत में भेज दिया। बचाव पक्ष के वकील एडवोकेट वाजिद खान ने कहा कि उन्हें (दत्तात्रय रामदास गाडे) 12 दिन की पुलिस हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है। उस पर पहले के मामले बलात्कार के नहीं बल्कि लूट के थे। जांच अधिकारी ने कहा कि वह आदतन अपराधी है लेकिन उसे पिछले किसी भी मामले में दोषी नहीं ठहराया गया था। सुबह के 5.45 बजे थे (कथित घटना का समय); वह चिल्ला सकती थी और मदद मांग सकती थी। कोई भी काम जबरदस्ती नहीं किया गया।

महाराष्ट्र के मंत्री उदय सामंत ने कहा कि पुणे पुलिस द्वारा गिरफ्तार किए गए आरोपियों को कड़ी से कड़ी सजा मिलनी चाहिए।’ उन्हें फांसी पर लटकाने का फैसला मिलना चाहिए। महायुति को बदनाम करने के लिए हर घटना को राजनीतिक लाभ देना उचित नहीं है। इससे पहले पुणे सीपी अमितेश कुमार ने बताया था कि आरोपी को कल रात करीब 1:10 बजे गुनात गांव से हिरासत में लिया गया। गुनात गांव के लोगों ने आरोपी को पकड़ने में हमारी मदद की। औपचारिकताएं पूरी करने के बाद उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया और आज उन्हें कोर्ट में पेश किया जाएगा।
उन्होंने कहा कि एक विशेष वकील नियुक्त किया जाएगा और हम मामले को तेजी से निपटाने का प्रयास करेंगे। हमें विश्वास है कि हम भविष्य में ऐसे मामलों को रोकने में सफल होंगे और हम इस संबंध में काम कर रहे हैं। मैं पुणे पुलिस की ओर से गुनात के लोगों को धन्यवाद देता हूं। मैं उन ग्रामीणों का सम्मान करने के लिए गांव का दौरा करूंगा जिन्होंने हमारी मदद की। मंगलवार को पुणे के स्वारगेट बस अड्डे पर राज्य परिवहन की बस के अंदर 26 वर्षीय महिला के साथ कथित तौर पर दुष्कर्म किया गया।
