अपने संबोधन के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा कि देवभूमि आज युवा ऊर्जा से और दिव्य हो उठी है। बाबा केदार, बद्रीनाथ जी, मां गंगा के शुभाशीष के साथ आज नेशनल गेम्स शुरू हो रहे हैं। ये वर्ष उत्तराखंड के निर्माण का 25वां वर्ष है।
उत्तराखंड की धार्मिक विरासत और जैव विविधता का झलक पेश करते रंगारंग उद्घाटन समारोह के साथ 38वें राष्ट्रीय खेलों का उद्घाटन प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने किया। इस प्रतियोगिता के तहत 32 खेलों में लगभग 10 हजार खिलाड़ी पदक जीतने के लिए चुनौती पेश करेंगे। खेल 14 फरवरी तक चलेंगे और देहरादून में मुख्य आयोजन स्थल सहित इस पहाड़ी राज्य के सात शहरों में स्पर्धाओं का आयोजन किया जाएगा। लगभग 450 स्वर्ण पदक और इतनी ही संख्या में रजत और कांस्य पदक दांव पर हैं।
अपने संबोधन के दौरान प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा कि देवभूमि आज युवा ऊर्जा से और दिव्य हो उठी है। बाबा केदार, बद्रीनाथ जी, मां गंगा के शुभाशीष के साथ आज नेशनल गेम्स शुरू हो रहे हैं। ये वर्ष उत्तराखंड के निर्माण का 25वां वर्ष है। इस युवा राज्य में देश के कोने-कोने से आए हजारों युवा अपना सामर्थ्य दिखाने वाले हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि ‘एक भारत, श्रेष्ठ भारत’ की बहुत सुंदर तस्वीर यहां दिख रही है। नेशनल गेम्स में इस बार भी कई देशी और पारंपरिक खेलों को शामिल किया गया है। इस बार के नेशनल गेम्स एक प्रकार से ग्रीन गेम्स भी है।
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि देश में खेलों का एक खूबसूरत गुलदस्ता तैयार हो रहा है जिसमें हर मौसम में फूल खिलते हैं, लगातार टूर्नामेंट होते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि जब कोई देश खेल में आगे बढता है तो देश की साख भी बढती है और प्रोफाइल भी बढता है। उन्होंने कहा कि हॉकी में पुराने गौरवशाली दिन वापिस लौट रहे हैं , हमारी खो-खो टीम ने विश्व कप जीता है, गुकेश ने विश्व शतरंज चैम्पियनशिप जीती जिससे दुनिया हैरान रह गई। उन्होंने कहा कि मैं इस राष्ट्रीय खेल के आयोजन के लिए सीएम धामी और उत्तराखंड के लोगों को बधाई देना चाहता हूं। हम अपने एथलीटों के लिए अवसर पैदा कर रहे हैं ताकि वे अपने कौशल में सुधार कर सकें। खेला इंडिया यूथ गेम्स के कारण युवा एथलीटों को अपनी प्रतिभा दिखाने के नए अवसर मिले हैं।
मोदी ने कहा कि आज देश में कई टूर्नामेंट्स आयोजित किए जा रहे हैं। खेलो इंडिया सीरिज में कई सारे नए टूर्नामेंट्स जोड़े गए हैं। खेलो इंडिया यूथ गेम्स की वजह से यंग प्लेयर्स को आगे बढ़ने का मौका मिला है। यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स, यूनिवर्सिटी के स्टूडेंट्स को नए अवसर दे रहे हैं। खेलो इंडिया पैरा गेम्स से पैरा एथलीट्स की परफॉर्मेंस नए-नए एचीवमेंट्स कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि जैसे हमारे खिलाड़ी बड़े लक्ष्य लेकर चलते हैं, हमारा देश भी बड़े संकल्प लेकर आगे बढ रहा है। मोदी ने कहा कि भारत 2036 ओलंपिक की मेजबानी के लिये पूरी कोशिश कर रहा है और जब भारत में ओलंपिक होगा तो वह भारतीय खेलों को नये आसमान पर ले जायेगा।
