हेब्बालकर ने रवि का समर्थन करने के लिए राज्य भाजपा अध्यक्ष बीवाई विजयेंद्र और विपक्ष के नेता आर अशोक सहित भाजपा नेताओं की भी आलोचना की। उन्होंने कहा कि मुझे अपने पंचमसाली लिंगायत समुदाय के नेताओं, बसनगौड़ा पाटिल यतनाल और अरविंद बेलाड पर दया आती है, जिन्होंने एक ऐसे व्यक्ति का समर्थन किया जिसने एक महिला को घृणा महसूस कराई। राजनीति और अपनी पार्टी के लिए वे ऐसा कर रहे हैं।
