अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप द्वारा भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच सैन्य संघर्ष रुकवाने का दावे पर देश की राजनीति जारी है। कांग्रेस ने सीधे तौर पर प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी पर सवाल खड़े किए है। कांग्रेस नेता पवन खेड़ा ने कटाक्ष करते हुए कहा कि डोनाल्ड भाई ने 21 दिन में 11 बार यह बात की है, लेकिन प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी इस पर कब जवाब देंगे। खेड़ा ने कहा कि अब तक 11 बार ऐसा कहा जा चुका है। प्रधानमंत्री देश भर में घूम रहे हैं… उन्होंने एक बार भी डोनाल्ड ट्रंप के बारे में नहीं कहा। सिर्फ हमारे प्रधानमंत्री ही डोनाल्ड ट्रंप को जवाब दे सकते हैं। वह जवाब नहीं दे पा रहे हैं। किस बात का दबाव है?
पवन खेड़ा ने यह भी कहा कि कांग्रेस लगातार सवाल पूछ रही है कि पहलगाम हमले के आतंकवादी कब पकड़े जाएँगे, पुलवामा में आरडीएक्स किसने खरीदा और पाकिस्तान के साथ संघर्ष विराम की क्या शर्तें थीं? उन्होंने कहा कि हम पूछे जा रहे कड़े सवालों के कड़े जवाब चाहते हैं। किसके दबाव में संघर्ष विराम किया गया? क्या पहलगाम में अपने पतियों को खोने वाली महिलाओं को न्याय मिला…इससे (ऑपरेशन सिंदूर) क्या सबक मिले और सीडीएस ने भी कहा कि इससे सबक लेना ज़रूरी है। अब कम से कम भाजपा सवाल पूछने वालों को देशद्रोही नहीं कह पाएगी।
इससे पहले कांग्रेस महासचिव जयराम रमेश ने ‘एक्स’ पर पोस्ट किया, ‘‘21 दिनों में यह 11वीं बार है जब प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के परम मित्र और अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने दावा किया है कि पाकिस्तान के साथ युद्धविराम कैसे हुआ। प्रधानमंत्री कब बोलेंगे?’’ रमेश ने कहा, ‘‘डोनाल्ड भाई वही बात दोहराते रहते हैं कि कैसे उन्होंने चार दिवसीय भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध को रुकवाया, अमेरिकी हस्तक्षेप और परमाणु खतरे को रोकने के लिए व्यापार रूपी हथियार का उपयोग किया। भारत और पाकिस्तान की बराबरी की बात एक बार फिर दोहराई गई।’’ उन्होंने कहा कि राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप के वाणिज्य मंत्री ने 23 मई को न्यूयॉर्क स्थित अंतरराष्ट्रीय व्यापार न्यायालय में बिलकुल यही दावे किए हैं। रमेश ने कहा कि ‘‘डोनाल्ड भाई’’ के मित्र नरेन्द्र मोदी पूरी चुप्पी के साथ उनके दावों को नजरअंदाज करते रहे हैं।
